Job tasks and duties
As a volunteer, you'll support the daily activities in the courtyard of a care unit. Your duties include:
- Preparing materials and the space.
- Participating in the activity (e.g., participating, guiding, and encouraging).
- Serving coffee and tea.
- Cleaning up afterward.
The activities take place Monday through Saturday, between 3:15 PM and 4:15 PM. Your time is needed from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Every day is different: from creative afternoons to exercise activities and walks. It would be great if you could be available for several afternoons. Even if you can help one afternoon a week, you're more than welcome!
Job skills and qualities
And you?
- Affinity with the target group: preferably, you have knowledge of older adults, such as those with dementia or other somatic conditions.
- Commitment: you are willing to dedicate yourself to others and enjoy working with a team of volunteers and professionals.
- Patience and respect: you respect the wishes and boundaries of residents and provide them with the care and attention they deserve.
- Availability: you are available at least one afternoon per week from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
