Volunteer at Autisme Digitaal
We are looking for new people to strengthen our team with their unique competencies and skills. We strive to create an environment where all talents can reach their full potential, regardless of gender, age, cultural background, nationality, or disability. - You will gain experience with social media.
- You will contribute to improving knowledge about autism in adults, from the perspective of people with autism themselves.
- You will become part of a team of over 45 autistic adults. This way, you will meet new people with autism. Our working methods are tailored to autistic characteristics.
- You will be clearly informed of what is expected of you. We work with written job descriptions and guidelines.
- You can do this volunteer work from home, anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All communication takes place via email, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.
Job tasks and duties
We're looking for an autistic volunteer who enjoys writing content for social media.
You'll write a post about that week's blog post twice a week and post it on our social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram). This will be based on the blog post's content.
- You'll receive an email every Tuesday at 1:00 PM when the new blog post is published. You'll post a post on social media that day when the weekly blog post is published. You'll use the blog post's image as an image.
- On Fridays, you'll spontaneously post a quote from the same blog post. You'll create an image in Canva based on an existing template.
- You'll meet with the social media working group every two months and contribute ideas on how our activities can reach a wider audience.
- You'll be part of the blog editor's WhatsApp group and communicate with them about the upcoming blog post as needed.
Job skills and qualities
You can write clearly and flawlessly, tailored to a specific audience.
You are reliable and take initiative: you complete your tasks without needing to be reminded.
You are already active on social media and would enjoy posting on social media for an organization.
Extra information
Because we are an organization for and by autistic adults, we do not accept volunteers under the age of 18 or who are not autistic themselves. This allows us to guarantee volunteer work experience placements for autistic adults, and ensures our activities are based on personal experience with autism as an adult.

Interested? Please contact Frederik at frederik@autismedigitaal.nl. He will contact you within three days (excluding holidays). He will then schedule a meeting with you via Teams. You will then meet with Frederik and the coordinator of the relevant work group.
