We are looking for new people to strengthen our team with their unique competencies and skills. We want to create an environment where all talents can reach their full potential, regardless of gender, age, cultural background, nationality, or disability. The work is not without obligation, but we put as little pressure as possible. You can always turn to the rest of the team if you need help.
- You will read many blogs and learn a lot about how other people experience autism.
- You will contribute to better understanding of autism in adults, from the perspective of people with autism themselves.
- You will become part of a team of over 45 autistic adults. This way, you will meet new people with autism. Our working methods are tailored to autistic characteristics.
- You can do this volunteer work from home, anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All communication takes place via email, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.
Job tasks and duties
For our "Autism is Versatile" project, we are looking for an autistic adult to review submitted blog posts and prepare them for publication.
What are the responsibilities?
On our "Autism is Versatile" blog, we publish a new blog post every week by an autistic adult. The goal of this project is to showcase the diversity of autism by featuring different people with autism. All blog posts will be reviewed for spelling, style, and clarity. We are looking for an autistic adult to do this, along with another editor.
- You will receive a blog post every two weeks by email as a Word document. You will review it for spelling, style, and clarity. You will send your feedback to the blogger by email.
- You will upload the final text of the blog post to the website (in WordPress).
- You will maintain regular contact with the other editor and the coordinator through the project's WhatsApp group. You will meet with them twice a year via Teams.
Job skills and qualities
You have a good feel for languages and are interested in reading and writing.
You are reliable and keep appointments.
You have some computer and internet skills (basic knowledge of WordPress is helpful, but you can also acquire them during your volunteer work).
You can communicate effectively via WhatsApp and email.
You can provide feedback tactfully and negotiate with bloggers about their blog content.
Extra information
Our goal is to offer online volunteer opportunities for adults with autism. If you don't fit our target group, there's no point in applying.

Interested? Please contact Annelies. She will contact you within three days (excluding holidays). She will then schedule an interview via Teams. You will then meet with Annelies and the coordinator of the relevant work group.
