Looking for a buddy for 2 children aged 5 and 7

You're not just a buddy. You're there to provide exclusive attention to the child and/or to help the family. You'll visit the child for half a day each week to participate in fun activities with them. This gives parents some time to themselves to recharge. A child can be completely themselves with you, having all the attention they need, without having to share it with siblings. In our experience, your presence alone makes a huge difference for the child!

The project revolves around providing personalized attention and engaging in fun activities that can make a big difference for the children. One volunteer says: "What's self-evident to me can be very special to someone else. It gives me a wonderful feeling to see my buddy enjoying himself so much and being a real child for a while."

Do you want to make a difference for a child, but find it difficult to combine volunteering with studies or work? Then consider becoming a buddy with your friend, roommate, sister, neighbor, aunt, or anyone else. The possibilities are endless!

As a volunteer buddy, you'll be part of an enthusiastic group of volunteers. You'll attend training courses and meet regularly at volunteer meetings and activities we organize for couples.

It's important that you're open to new experiences, have an affinity for children, are patient, and can adapt to changing needs. We'll ensure a suitable match, and you'll have plenty of freedom to shape your own buddy interaction in consultation with the child and parent(s).

We require at least six months' availability. This is because building trust with a child takes time, and almost all children need long-term buddy interaction.
