Give a child a happy stay-over!

Urgent
WIJ Groningen • job opening nr. 14600

Interesting about this job

Make sure you have an enjoyable stay-over experience and make a difference to a primary school pupil in the process.

Job tasks and duties

For a cheerful and enthusiastic 8-year-old boy, we are looking for a volunteer to spend the daybreak at school with him. This is on school days from 12:00 to 13:00. He attends the GSV at Sweelincklaan 4 in Groningen.

Between 12:00 and 12:25, children from several classes play outside with limited supervision. For this boy, this can be a bit overwhelming. School has indicated that he cannot play outside without extra supervision. Currently, his parents pick him up at lunch time, but this is becoming increasingly difficult to combine with work.

Because we like to give him his playtime, we are looking for a volunteer who can watch him play outside during this time or take him for a walk or play in a quiet playground. From 12:25 to 13:00, the class eats inside. It would be nice if you can be there too.

We would be greatly helped by two or three afternoons, but if nothing else works out, we are also happy with one day. All days are possible, except Wednesdays. If you would prefer another way to spend this hour, we would be happy to help you.

We would be happy to help you.

Job skills and qualities

Experience with children is nice, but not compulsory. We find it especially important that you have a heart for children. Furthermore, you have social skills, are patient and committed.
