WIJ Ten Boer is there for everyone in Ten Boer and the surrounding villages. Residents can find free advice and support for questions they can't answer themselves.
Job tasks and duties
Every Wednesday morning, WIJ Ten Boer, along with other organizations, gathers at the Information Plaza in the Forum Library Ten Boer. This is the place for free advice, information, and meetings, as well as practical help and support.
As an Entree staff member, you are the face of WIJ Groningen at the Information Plaza. You inform, advise, and support residents with questions about housing, welfare, healthcare, and finances, for example. You offer a listening ear and are open to residents' ideas and initiatives. In an initial meeting, you try to clarify the question and explore options together with the resident.
Job skills and qualities
- You can empathize with residents and have an open, approachable demeanor.
- You have strong social and communication skills.
- You are honest and handle the information residents provide carefully.
- You can inform, advise, and offer support.
- You have some knowledge of laws and regulations, social services, and the social map, or you are willing to delve deeper into these topics.
- You are computer literate (searching, registering, and emailing).
- You are fluent in Dutch (spoken and written).
- You enjoy working independently.
- You are available every Wednesday morning.
