volunteer for A4VA nursing ward

Vrijwilligers & Vrienden UMCG • job opening nr. 14628

Interesting about this job

The Volunteers & Friends UMCG Foundation was established in 1989 and, with the efforts of more than 300 volunteers, provides just that little bit more within the UMCG. The aim of the foundation is to make the patient's stay in the UMCG more pleasant. In addition to setting up and maintaining volunteer work, the foundation supports various welfare projects within the UMCG through fundraising and events that express the foundation's overall goal.

Information on department:

New project to be set up at A4VA:

The A4VA (Abdominal Surgery) nursing ward can be found at Fonteinstraat 3, on the fourth floor, in the new A Tower. In the Abdominal Surgery Department, people are treated with diseases of the digestive tract. This is a collective name for the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, pancreas, liver, bile ducts and gallbladder. We work closely with the other healthcare providers involved in treating these diseases. Part of the A4va nursing ward is an Intensive Nursing Care Unit (IVZ). There, patients who need just a little more care than on the regular nursing ward are nursed. A total of 16 patients lie here on A4 and 8 on the IVZ.
