You will work in an enthusiastic team to create a free neighbourhood festival that brings three days of celebration and fun for the whole neighbourhood. The Spring Festival is an important and popular event in the Oosterpark neighbourhood, with music, street theatre, good food and activities for young and old. As a volunteer, you will help make possible a festival where residents meet, have fun and celebrate spring - all together with other committed and enthusiastic people.
Job tasks and duties
You will support in catering for the approximately 30 volunteers involved during the festival. Think about:
- providing coffee, tea, soft drinks and other refreshments for the volunteers and visitors.
- Helping to prepare and set up lunch and dinner.
- Help in the kitchen with cleaning up, washing up and other support work.
- Collaborate with other volunteers to ensure everyone feels welcome and cared for.
In addition, you will be part of a team that contributes to a festive festival that combines music, street theatre, children's activities, games and tasty snacks and drinks for visitors of all ages.
Job skills and qualities
We are looking for someone with:
- Enthusiasm and energy to work with other volunteers on something beautiful.
- A good mood, where you enjoy interacting with other helpers and visitors.
- A willingness to take on various tasks needed to keep the catering running smoothly - from making coffee to washing up.
- A positive and flexible attitude, as the festival brings together many different activities and people over three days.
