We are dance company Club Guy & Roni and theatre company NITE. Together we create innovative performances with theatre and dance. We target a young and diverse audience, in Groningen, in the Netherlands and sometimes abroad. We are an open organisation. Everyone should feel welcome and appreciated. As a reception assistant, you will be the first face of our theatre, Theater De Machinefabriek. You receive different people every day: colleagues, artists, guests and suppliers, from the Netherlands and abroad.
You work in a special place in the middle of theatre life. When things are quiet, you can also do something for yourself, like reading, learning or administration. You also get to go to (the premieres of) our performances, so you stay involved with what we make.
Job tasks and duties
- Receive visitors, artists and suppliers.
- Taking and transferring phone calls.
- Prepare coffee and tea for guests.
- Doing light administrative work for colleagues.
- Keep the reception area tidy.
- Prepare guest packs for people staying in our flats.
- Fold and tidy up the clean laundry (such as bedding and kitchen towels).
Job skills and qualities
- You are friendly, helpful and hospitable.
- You see what needs to be done and do it.
- You work independently and take initiative.
- You are representative and feel comfortable in this central role.
- You speak good Dutch; English is a plus.
- You can work at least 2 half-days a week (for example, from 09:30 to 13:00 or from 13:00 to 17:00)
