The Alzheimer Café in Haren is a monthly gathering for people with dementia, their loved ones, and other interested parties. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, visitors share experiences, receive information, and connect with one another. The evenings take place at the ZINN residential care facility De Dilgt.
Job tasks and duties
As a host/hostess, you'll be the welcoming face upon arrival. You'll:
- Welcome visitors with coffee/tea.
- Contribute to a calm and pleasant atmosphere.
- Help during breaks and provide support where needed.
- Clean up afterward with others.
You'll work together with the Alzheimer Café coordinator and other volunteers.
Job skills and qualities
We're looking for someone who:
- is sociable, warm, and approachable.
- enjoys interacting with different people.
- is available one Wednesday evening a month.
- exudes calmness and is a good listener.
