As a lock keeper, you will be the host of our lake, welcoming boats entering the lake through the lock and safely shuttling them through the lock. Every day is different and together with your fellow lock keepers you will ensure safe lock passage. You stand alone at the lock but hand over your shift to a colleague.
Job tasks and duties
During the boating season, from 1 April to 1 October, the lock is open from 9:00 to 19:00.
A lock shift is from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00.
The schedule is agreed in consultation and you can swap shifts once with your colleagues.
Job skills and qualities
Affinance with engineering and vessels is desirable. And good communication skills.
