Job tasks and duties
The Repair Café Rivierenbuurt is open every Thursday from 10 to 12 and from February at our new location in the Talma House. At the Repair Café, everyone is welcome and we work with, and if, we can help visitors repair their clothes and appliances while having a cup of coffee or tea. We are getting busier and busier and are looking for a second person to join us for the clothing.
Job skills and qualities
- Can handle the sewing machine and needle and thread or want to learn to do so.
- Dealing with guests, assessing and explaining what you are doing, as they stay with you until you have finished.
Extra information
We consist of a team of eight with varying attendance. There is now one person for textiles and we would like to expand this to two. Sewing machines and supplies are available. As a Repair Café, we work on a donation basis to be accessible to everyone and do so from a sustainability point of view.
We also invite young people/students etc to respond who would like to learn and are available for a minimum of six months.
