Do you enjoy hands-on work and a hands-on approach? Setting up and taking down the Groningen Four Days Marches is a major challenge – from flags and fences to electricity and technology. As a volunteer on this team, you'll ensure everything is in place.
The Groningen Four Days Marches is the new walking event in the Netherlands, where sportsmanship, culture, and conviviality converge. From Tuesday, August 4th to Friday, August 7th, 2026, you'll walk in four stages through the most beautiful Groningen has to offer – from the bustling city center to the tranquility of the vast Ommeland region. Starting and finishing daily on the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometers.
Job tasks and duties
- Setting up tents, flags, and barriers.
- Providing technical support (cables, power, speakers).
- Cleaning up and disposing of equipment afterward.
- Assisting with on-site logistics.
Job skills and qualities
- You're physically fit and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
- You're a good team player.
- You enjoy practical results.
Extra information
- Volunteers are available on Sunday, August 2nd, Monday, August 3rd, and Saturday, August 8th.
- Multiple shifts are possible, including evenings.
- Food and drinks are provided, of course.
