Love for Groningen? Social? Then this position is for you. During the Groningen 4daagse, we make sure every participant feels welcome. Whether you stand on the Grote Markt, offer a warm welcome to participants along the route, or proudly tell our story - you will make the difference.
The Groningse 4daagse is the new walking event in the Netherlands, where sportsmanship, culture and conviviality come together. From Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 August 2026, you will walk in four stages through the best Groningen has to offer - from the bustling city centre to the tranquillity of the vast Ommeland. With daily start and finish at the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometres.
Job tasks and duties
- Be a point of contact for participants and visitors.
- Guiding groups (such as schools or Defence forces).
- Promote and create atmosphere during the event.
- Encouraging sustainable behaviour among participants.
- Giving hospitality to sponsors or VIPs.
Job skills and qualities
- Social, open and positive.
- You like interacting with people.
- You like to work and be sociable.
Extra information
- We are looking for people with a love of Groningen.
- You will receive food/drink during your shift.
- You choose when you work (more is always allowed!).
- Friday evening is an extra closing moment.
