The Groningen Four Days Marches is the new walking event in the Netherlands, where sportsmanship, culture, and conviviality converge. From Tuesday, August 4th to Friday, August 7th, 2026, you'll walk in four stages through the most beautiful Groningen has to offer – from the bustling city center to the tranquility of the vast Ommeland region. Starting and finishing daily on the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometers.
Job tasks and duties
- Serve as a point of contact for participants and visitors.
- Provide guidance to groups (such as schools or the Ministry of Defence).
- Promote and create a pleasant atmosphere during the event.
- Encourage sustainable behavior among participants.
- Offer hospitality to sponsors or VIPs.
Job skills and qualities
- Sociable, open, and positive.
- You enjoy being around people.
- You're a hands-on person who enjoys a friendly atmosphere.

- We're looking for people with a passion for Groningen.
- You'll receive food and drinks during your shift.
- You choose when you work (more is always welcome!).
- Friday evening is a special closing event.
