The rest areas of the Groningen Four Days Marches are oases for walkers – and you are their source of peace and quiet. You'll help participants find water, a place to sit, a listening ear, and be their point of contact during the walk.
The Groningen Four Days Marches is the new walking event in the Netherlands, where sportsmanship, culture, and conviviality converge. From Tuesday, August 4th to Friday, August 7th, 2025, you'll walk in four stages through the most beautiful Groningen has to offer – from the bustling city center to the tranquility of the vast Ommeland region. Starting and finishing daily on the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometers.
Job tasks and duties
- Welcoming participants at rest stops.
- Explaining facilities (toilets, first aid, route).
- Providing easy access to water and snacks.
- Assisting with any questions or concerns.
Job skills and qualities
- You are patient, caring, and kind.
- You enjoy interacting with people.
- You radiate calm and energy.
Extra information
- You'll be at a fixed rest area or a different location.
- Food and drinks are, of course, well-organized.
- You choose your own shift, and joining for multiple days is always welcome.
