The Groningen 4daagse is the Netherlands' new walking event, where sportsmanship, culture and conviviality come together. From Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 August 2026, you will walk in four stages through the best Groningen has to offer - from the bustling city centre to the tranquillity of the vast Ommeland. With daily start and finish on the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometres.
Are you an early bird or just a day person with energy for ten? Then you might be the face of our start and finish area on the Grote Markt. As a member of the Start & Info Point team, you will help participants on their way, answer questions and ensure a welcoming first impression.
Job tasks and duties
- receiving and registering participants.
- Presenting wristbands/start tickets.
- Informing visitors and participants.
- Helping at the start and finish line.
Job skills and qualities
- Enthusiasm and a smile.
- You like interacting with people.
- Experience is welcome but not required.

- Monday, August 3: 11.30am - 5.30pm.
- Tuesday to Friday: 04.00 - 10.00 and/or 11.30 - 17.30
- (You choose your day and shift - more often is always allowed!).
