At events and calamities, Red Cross volunteers are on standby, and so are the Liaison Service volunteers. The Liaison Service is crucial for good cooperation and coordination during events and emergencies. The Red Cross has its own walkie-talkies and mobile phones for communication during emergency assistance. The size of the network can vary from two walkie-talkie users to an extensive network with its own control room. The Liaison Service teams in Groningen, Drenthe and Friesland are looking for new Liaison Service staff members.
Job tasks and duties
- Preparing walkie-talkies and mobile phones for events.
- Preparing and building a network at major events.
- Preparing and building up the control room at large events.
- Assisting your fellow volunteers in the use of walkie-talkies and mobile phones.
- Manage and maintain liaison equipment.
Minimum education level: lbo/mavo/vmbo
Job skills and qualities
- You are customer-oriented, quality-oriented and decisive
- You are flexible, take initiative and can work well together
- Experience with radio communications is a plus
- Knowledge of networks and DMR systems is an advantage
- You are available 4 to 6 hours a week
