Job tasks and duties
Since recently, we have been working with three managers at Autism Digital. These are volunteer positions where you are ultimately responsible for one of the three sectors of our organisation. As communications manager, you will be ultimately responsible for the communications sector. You will have a managerial role with a lot of responsibility, but within an organisation that is geared to autistic characteristics and taxability.
What are the tasks?
- You are ultimately responsible for the communications sector. This includes: publicity, social media, the website and other ICT.
- You manage the three coordinators who carry out this work.
- You monitor the publicity agenda and ensure coordination between posts on social media and other publicity.
- You chair three meetings a year with the three coordinators in your sector (about one hour). In the remaining months, you take the minutes of the coordinators' meeting (approx. one hour).
- Every year, you make an annual plan for the new year together with the coordinators in your sector and evaluate the past year.
Job skills and qualities
- You belong to our target group (you have autism and are 18+).
- You have experience in leading a (small) team. You can bring out the best in your employees.
- You can keep an overview of the tasks you perform yourself and those you delegate.
- You can communicate well verbally and in writing, taking into account the needs of various volunteers with autism.
- Since this is a managerial position, we ask for a commitment of at least 1.5 years.
