Job tasks and duties

At Autisme Digitaal, we recently appointed three managers. These are volunteer positions where you will be ultimately responsible for one of the three sectors of our organization. As a communications manager, you will be ultimately responsible for the communications sector. You will have a leadership role with significant responsibility, but within an organization that is geared towards autistic characteristics and resilience.
What are the responsibilities?

  • You will be ultimately responsible for the communications sector. This includes: publicity, social media, the website, and other IT.
  • You will manage the three coordinators who carry out this work.
  • You will oversee the publicity agenda and ensure coordination between social media posts and other publicity.
  • You will chair meetings with the three coordinators in your sector three times a year (approximately one hour). In the remaining months, you will take minutes of the coordinator meetings (approximately one hour).
  • Each year, you will create an annual plan for the new year together with the coordinators in your sector and evaluate the past year.

Job skills and qualities

  • You belong to our target group (you have autism and are 18+).
  • You have experience leading a (small) team. You can bring out the best in your colleagues.
  • You can maintain an overview of the tasks you perform yourself and those you delegate.
  • You communicate well verbally and in writing, taking into account the needs of diverse volunteers with autism.
  • Because this is a management position, we require a commitment of at least 1.5 years.
