Volunteers provide residents with enjoyable daytime activities by offering time, attention, camaraderie, and a listening ear. Together, we'll determine which role is the best fit for you. As a volunteer, you'll have opportunities to develop yourself and be well cared for.
Job tasks and duties
Every other Sunday afternoon, there's a wonderful service for the residents of Innersdijk, prepared by the spiritual counselors. For the church services at the Innersdijk location, we're looking for volunteers to guide visitors during the services. As a volunteer, you'll be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
- Preparing the church hall (no heavy lifting).
- Pick up residents and drop them off afterward.
- Guided residents during the service.
Job skills and qualities
- You are available on Sundays, once a month from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. (Twice a month is also possible).
- Experience with or knowledge of older adults is preferred, for example, those with dementia or other physical conditions.
- You are people-oriented, able to connect with others, and respectful of residents' wishes and boundaries.
