Job tasks and duties
What will you bring as Treasurer?
As treasurer, you are responsible for the financial policy and administration of the foundation. You will monitor the budget, keep an overview of income and expenditure and ensure that the board always has up-to-date and reliable financial information.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
What will you do
- Supervise the financial position of the foundation and the implementation of the budget and financial statements.
- Read, interpret and explain the foundation's annual accounts.
- Together with the director, act as a point of contact and substantive sparring partner for the accountant and bookkeeper.
- Advising and supporting the director on financial issues and financial choices.
- Think about the financial consequences of staff deployment, project planning and policy intentions.
- Signalling financial risks and opportunities and making these discussable within the board.
- (Pre) Support grant applications and financial justifications as required.
What you bring
- Sufficient financial understanding to be able to review and explain budgets, annual accounts and management information.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make financial information understandable.
- Reliability, accuracy and a proactive attitude.
- Prefer: experience with grant applications and grant reporting.
- Critical, inquisitive and entrepreneurial attitude.
- Clear vision on women's empowerment.

We aim for a board that reflects the diverse backgrounds of our target group and includes expertise in human resources, organisation and finance and legal matters.
What can you expect?
- The board meets six to eight times a year and also participates in activities organised by Jasmine.
- The commitment of the treasurer requires an additional 2 hours per month on average.
- This is an unpaid position, for which you get a lot in return.

Foundation Multicultural Women's Centre Jasmijn provides a place in Groningen where women feel welcome and accepted as they are. In a safe, respectful environment, women are encouraged to use their talents and grow. By encouraging participation, learning and self-development, Jasmijn supports women to find their own way and make self-confident choices that contribute to their independence and personal development

Jasmijn employs 9 paid staff and a total of about 85 volunteers. We reach an average of 400 women a week. Besides an annual offer of 50 courses and workshops, we have many projects and activities in the 'language - participation - labour' chain. We also offer healthy lifestyle activities and information.
