Quiet has been committed to helping people in poverty situations in the Netherlands since 2015. Due to the departure of one of the board members, Stichting Quiet Groningen is looking for a general board member (unpaid) with experience expertise in the field of poverty in the short term.
Job tasks and duties
The duties of the board include:
- drawing up vision and multi-year plan, annual plan, budget and annual report together with the project leader;
- supervising progress against set targets;
- supervise personnel policy and compliance with laws and regulations (ANBI, AVG, CAO, statutes);
- make agreements with funders;
- representingQuiet externally;
- using one's own network to get things done;
Job skills and qualities
We are looking for a committed general board member to strengthen our team from personal experience with poverty and preferably in possession of a recognised Diploma in Experience. Someone who endorses Quiet's philosophy and values, recognises themselves in the target group and knows the living environment from the inside.
Administrative experience is not necessary. However, we do consider it important that you are willing to listen well, think along at strategic level and actively contribute to the development of the organisation. Sufficient time, commitment and the motivation to work together are essential in this respect.
The position starts as soon as possible and is in principle for a four-year term.
