The Hortus runs on over 150 volunteers and 14 staff members. Partly due to the growth in the number of visitors, we may also welcome more and more new volunteers. This is why we are building a volunteer coordinator team. In this versatile role, you will ensure a warm welcome, good organisation and clear communication around everything to do with volunteers.
Job tasks and duties
- Together with other coordinators, you will help organise everything around volunteers.
- Think about a good introduction and sign-off programme.
- Support with registration and administration.
- Coordinate with communication and other teams.
- Capture signals from volunteers and share them.
You don't have to do everything alone. We are building this together.
Job skills and qualities
We are looking for someone who:
- Likes to connect and keep an overview.
- Experience in organising or coordinating (may also be volunteering).
- Feels committed to a green, inclusive environment.
- is available for 2 half-days a week.
- You will work partly on location (especially in the beginning) and partly from home.
