Enthusiastic PR and communication volunteer

Do you love music, telling stories and reaching people? And would you like to contribute to a vibrant music venue in Groningen? Would you like to help build a place where music brings people together? Then we are looking for you!

Muziekhuis050 is a foundation in Groningen where music takes centre stage. Since 2021, we offer music lessons, orchestras, bands, choirs and workshops for young and old. Think of the Jeugdorkest050, Bigband050, a pop choir, ensembles and projects for primary schools. Our aim is to make making music together accessible to everyone, including people for whom music lessons are not self-evident.
In addition to lessons, we regularly organise concerts, workshops and other musical activities.
What are you going to do?
A PR and communication volunteer will help us reach more people and make our activities visible. You can, for example:

• Write messages for social media and the website
• Promote events and concerts
• Think of new ways to reach audiences and participants
• Taking photos and short reports of activities
• Assist in making flyers or posters
• Liaise with local media or cultural calendars
• You will work with teachers, musicians and the foundation's board

• Likes communication and culture
• Creatively can write, film or photograph and has ideas for promotion
• Handy with social media
• Can work independently
• Has affinity with music
