The Hortus works with more than 150 volunteers and 14 employees. Partly due to the growth in the number of visitors, we can also welcome new volunteers. That is why we are building a volunteer coordination team. In this versatile role you ensure a warm welcome, good organization and clear communication around everything that has to do with volunteers.
Job tasks and duties
Together with other coordinators, you help organize everything surrounding volunteers. Consider:
- Think about a good introduction and orientation program
- Support with registration and administration
- Coordinate with communications and other teams
- Collect signals from volunteers and share them
- You work partly on location (especially in the beginning) and partly at home
Job skills and qualities
We are looking for someone:
- Who likes to connect and keep an overview
- Has experience in organizing or coordinating (may also be in volunteer work)
- Feels committed to a green, inclusive environment
- Available 2 half days per week
