Guiding and supporting foreign-speaking young people is fun and rewarding work!
Job tasks and duties
- You support the teacher before, during and after the Dutch lessons for young people, aged 18 to 28, who are required to integrate.
- At times you may supervise an individual student and at other times you may guide a small group of students, always under the supervision of the teacher.
- You help with setting up and tidying up the classroom.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who enjoys working with foreign-speaking young people and who is proficient in the Dutch language.
A language volunteer:
- Have patience.
- Is interested in other people and other cultures.
- Can motivate young students to learn the Dutch language with enthusiasm.
- Is flexible and can improvise.
- Open to feedback.
- Open to a joke.
An educational background is a plus but not necessary.
