The community centre at Van Houten is decorated by a creative group of neighbourhood residents. Every Tuesday morning we get to work together. We make decorations; preferably as much as possible from waste material or from what we have been given. With the made decoration, we decorate the building! < The group consists of about 8 people (male/female between 18-70 years old). Not everyone is there every week and local residents can also join spontaneously. We value creativity and sociability!
We would like to move to 2 half-days a week. Whereby one will focus on decoration for the community centre and the other day we can further shape. E.g. workshops, artjournal making, aimed at learning different techniques.
Job tasks and duties
The creative group started spontaneously. We have already created a little bit of structure with each other, but we are still looking for someone to help us with this.
How our morning looks like right now:
9.30am start up together with a cup of coffee/tea
10.00am start creative/decorating
12.15am tidy up
12.30am eat toast and soup together

Job skills and qualities
What do we expect from you, that you will be there and do the morning kick-off with us. What we find important is that it is clear what we are going to do (we certainly have our own input) and that there is attention for everyone who is there. Especially also if someone is new that they are well taken care of.
And of course think along about the extra morning/afternoon and take the lead here.
Emportant qualities in our opinion are: social and creative and the ability to manage a group.
