Do you provide visitors with an unforgettable experience?
In the Hortus, we organise workshops, lectures and events throughout the year. From inspiring nature activities to special gatherings in the garden. To make sure these activities run smoothly, we are looking for a volunteer activity support worker to help with the organisation and implementation.
Do you like to arrange things, keep an overview and make sure everything is in the right place? Then this might be something for you.
You will be part of the events team and ensure that activities are well prepared and visitors have a great experience.
Job tasks and duties
- Create scripts for activities
- Contacting participants by e-mail
- Make sure materials and supplies are ready on time
- Informing the reception team about upcoming activities
- Informing the communications team about what to promote and when
- Think along with the events team about an annual calendar of activities
- During activities you will be the contact point for visitors
- Making entry forms and keeping track of registrations
- Support the team during large-scale events
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
What are we looking for:
- An organised and enthusiastic person/student/ graduate (MBO/HBO/WO)
- You enjoy organising and coordinating activities
- You work in a structured way and keep an overview
- You communicate clearly and enjoy contact with people
- You can work independently but also coordinate well with the team
- You like thinking up new ideas for activities
- An advantage is experience in organising activities and events .
