The Hortus offers a special place for art and culture in the middle of greenery. We organize various exhibitions throughout the year, including the sculpture exhibition in collaboration with AKKA, but there is room for more.
For example, we have two pavilions in the Chinese Garden that are perfect for changing exhibitions. Our goal is to surprise visitors all year round with inspiring exhibitions that match the atmosphere of the Hortus.
Do you get energy from organizing exhibitions and collaborating with artists and cultural partners? Then we are looking for you.
Job tasks and duties
- Be a contact person for artists and collaboration partners.
- Thinking about and putting together an annual program for exhibitions.
- Coordinating exhibitions in the various rooms of the Hortus.
- Planning and organizing changing exhibitions.
- Collaborate with communications and events team.
- Ensure that exhibitions fit in well with the appearance of the Hortus.
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- We are looking for an enthusiastic person/student/graduate (MBO/HBO/WO) with an interest in art, culture and nature.
- You enjoy maintaining contact with artists and organizations.
- You work in an organized manner and like to think ahead.
- You take initiative and see opportunities for new exhibitions.
- You work independently but also coordinate well with the team.
- PRé: affinity with art, culture or exhibition organization/experience in organizing or coordinating exhibitions.
