The Hortus offers a special place for art and culture in the middle of greenery. Throughout the year we organise various exhibitions, including the sculpture exhibition in collaboration with AKKA, but there is room for more.
For example, we have two pavilions in the Chinese Garden that lend themselves perfectly to changing exhibitions. Our aim is to surprise visitors throughout the year with inspiring exhibitions that fit the atmosphere of the Hortus.
Do you get energy from organising exhibitions and collaborating with artists and cultural partners? Then we are looking for you.
Job tasks and duties
- To be a contact for artists and cooperation partners
- Think about and compile an annual programme for exhibitions
- Coordinating exhibitions in the various spaces of the Hortus
- Planning and organising changing exhibitions
- Collaborate with communications and events team
- Make sure exhibitions fit well with the Hortus' image
Minimum education level: hbo/wo
Job skills and qualities
- We are looking for an enthusiastic person/student/graduate (MBO/HBO/WO) with an interest in art, culture and nature
- You enjoy maintaining contact with artists and organisations
- You are organised and like to think ahead
- You take initiative and see opportunities for new exhibitions
- You work independently but also coordinate well with the team
- PRé: affinity with art, culture or exhibition organisation/experience in organising or coordinating exhibitions
