Who are we?
Since our move to the atmospheric, old carpentry factory at 293 Damsterdiep, we - together with a friendly team of volunteers and regular tenants - create a platform where everyone is welcome. Whether it's dance evenings, yoga classes, meditations, constellations or connecting workshops: EdanZ is buzzing. As volunteer coordinator, you will be the driving force behind this diverse team.
Job tasks and duties
What will you do?
As a volunteer coordinator, your core task is to guide and engage our volunteers. You make sure they feel welcome and that their talents can be put to the best possible use.
- Supervision: You are the first point of contact, evaluate how they are doing and ensure a safe and warm working environment.
- Policy: There is no developed volunteer policy yet. This is the task of the board to establish this, but very nice if you want to (co-)develop it. Afterwards, you will maintain this volunteer policy.
- Connecting: You connect volunteers with each other and strengthen the group feeling.
- Organisation: You plan the deployment of volunteers at the various events and the day-to-day running of our building.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
Who are we looking for?
- You are communicatively strong, empathetic and have an 'open mind' .
- You preferably have experience in coordinating or supervising volunteers (or similar experience), but the first point above and your enthusiasm will go a long way.
- You are flexible and think in terms of possibilities: you see opportunities for development, both for the organisation and the volunteer.
- You preferably live in Groningen or surroundings.
- You recognise yourself in the core values of EdanZ: connection, meeting, personal growth and hospitality.
