At the UP!-conversations, older people meet monthly in groups and talk for 1.5 hours about a theme that matters as you get older. Think goodbye, family, love, courage, future or comfort. Sharing stories leads to new insights and a sense of connection. A new group will start in Lewenborg after the summer, and we are also looking for extra volunteers for the rest of the city.
We are looking for a Volunteer UP!-conversations facilitator in Lewenborg and other neighbourhoods.Job tasks and duties
- As a volunteer facilitator, you create a warm and open atmosphere where everyone can be themselves .
- You show interest and are good at asking questions, without judging or coaching
- You can steer a conversation in the right direction and bring energy and calm to the group
- You work alone or in a duo
- A short conversation report will be written at the end of each meeting
Job skills and qualities
A few practical things:
- Age: 50+ years
- You have an open and neutral attitude and affinity with the elderly
- There are 6-8 meetings scheduled per year (summer break)
- The total commitment per month is about 4 hours
