Job tasks and duties
Would you like to be a buddy for someone? Who could use some extra help at home with cleaning, cooking and/or shopping, for example? Then find out about the possibilities at Stichting Hamelhuys!
Hamelhuys is the Centre for living with and after cancer in Groningen. (Former) cancer patients and their loved ones can drop by for a cup of coffee, a chat, a listening ear and activities that promote well-being, free of charge and without an appointment. Hamelhuys also offers a number of services for care recipients at home during a recovery period, chemotherapy or after treatment. This service is short-term and for a fixed period of time. It may include, for example, the following help:
- Medical appointments (buddy).
- You accompany patients to the hospital or another institution. This is based on the idea: together you hear more than alone. It may also involve physical accompaniment while travelling.
- Light housework, such as shopping, small chores around the house.
- Preparing meals.
- Childcare, both acute childcare and structural childcare.
