Job tasks and duties
As an Entree employee, you'll be part of the WIJ team. You'll inform, advise, and support neighborhood residents with their questions about housing, well-being, healthcare, and finances, for example. You'll offer a listening ear and be open to residents' ideas and initiatives. In an initial meeting, you'll try to clarify the question and explore options together with the resident.
Job skills and qualities
- You can empathize with the needs of local residents and have an open, approachable demeanor.
- You have strong social and communication skills.
- You can inform, advise, and offer support.
- You have some knowledge of laws and regulations, social services, and the social map, or you are willing to delve deeper into these areas.
- You are engaged and keep up-to-date with developments in the Beijum neighborhood and the municipality of Groningen.
- You are computer literate (searching, registering, emailing).
- Knowledge and experience from similar positions is a plus.
- You are fluent in Dutch (spoken and written).
- Speaking Papiamento is a plus.
