The secretary performs all regular duties for the Groningen City Food Bank. The secretary's office has approximately five staff members working Monday through Friday. We are looking for someone who is available for one or two half-days on Fridays each week, or days to be agreed upon. Working hours: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

Job tasks and duties

  • Handling email and mail.
  • Answering the switchboard.
  • Maintaining the client system, volunteer roster, and driver roster.
  • Creating transport notes.
  • Conducting intakes and introductory meetings with new clients.
  • Archiving documents.
  • Creating posters for activities.
  • Sending cards.
  • Maintaining calendars in Outlook.

Minimum education level: mbo

Job skills and qualities

  • Experience with software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Accurate.
  • Ability to adapt quickly.
  • Stress-resistant.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexible working hours (e.g., covering for a colleague who is sick).
