Job tasks and duties
A driver is the first person at Werkpro that someone meets in person. The driver therefore has a customer-friendly appearance. The driver is physically capable of doing the work, and knows his way around the city.
We depend on collection and people prefer to give stuff to someone who appears sympathetic.
- We like to see that you can handle customers well; do you need help with that?
- To be able to load and unload, you have to do lifting work; do we need to teach you anything in that?
- Are you hospitable, and do the customers and your colleagues like having you around? We welcome you.
Job skills and qualities
- Be in possession of driving licence B.
- To deal with customers in a friendly and correct manner.
- Able to perform lifting work.
- Careful handling of items.
Excited volunteers who have social and communication skills and are customer-oriented are required. In addition, you are physically able to lift goods and place them in the bus. Furthermore, you participate responsibly in traffic and know how to deal with various weather and road conditions. You can work as part of a team.
Goods that can be reused are given a new purpose through the thrift shop. As a volunteer, you will be the link between people who want to donate and buy items. You work in a team of volunteers.
Extra information
We check during an intake interview what your situation is and what you need. Sometimes it becomes clear during the intake that there is a possibility of a participation job (municipality of Groningen, ten Boer, Zuidhorn), a reintegration programme or a placement within the framework of day care. In the end, what matters is that both you and WerkPro can be satisfied.
