The great thing about working at Leergeld is making the children we help happy by giving them swimming lessons, a bicycle, a leisure activity or something similar. We regularly get positive messages from parents, drawings from children or compliments over the phone.

Job tasks and duties
As a contact/intermediary, you help children from families with a narrow budget. In our experience, it is rewarding work. Many families are happy with our help and the arrival of an intermediary during a home visit. This also makes us happy ourselves.
- You contact the client by telephone to hear their (help) request and make an appointment with the client for a home visit.
- You go on a home visit to the client and discuss what Leergeld can do for the family.
- You will build a "file" and submit an application to the office of Leergeld.
- Be available for a minimum of 12 hours per week. For a participation job, there is a minimum of 16 hours per week.
People can, for example, apply for financialële support for education, financing a school or cultural trip or supplementing book fees. Furthermore, sports, music lessons or other leisure activities can be requested. An average home visit lasts from half an hour to an hour.
Minimum education level: mbo
Job skills and qualities
- You make contact easily or are willing to learn to do so.
- You have good Dutch speaking skills.
- You do not mind working digitally.
