Interesting about this job
As a facilitator of the Friendship Circle you will contribute to the existence of a place where people with autism can meet and do things together, but above all just be themselves.
As a facilitator, you will be supported by a volunteer coordinator who is responsible for practical and logistical matters, such as budget and contact with Humanitas about reserving rooms.
Job tasks and duties
The Autism Friendship Circle is a place where adults with autism can meet in a familiar environment. Under the guidance of two to three facilitators -including the volunteer coordinator- they have a fun Friday night every other week (in the odd weeks). For instance, the facilitators recently devised an escaperoom, there has been a tour of the Forum, a Crazy 88 will soon be plotted, and most recently two participants also organised a city walk together. There are currently two facilitators, of which one is going to quit in the summer, so we are looking for two new facilitators for the Autism Friendship Circle.
Job skills and qualities
We find it most important that you enjoy thinking up new activities, and that you are able to organise and carry these out together with the other supervisors. In addition, it is of course nice if you have an affinity with our target group: adults with autism.
