Are you energised by storytelling while strolling with a group through our unique gardens, from the Chinese Garden to the Celtic Garden? The Hortus Botanicus is looking for a volunteer guided tour guide. Someone who, with enthusiasm and knowledge, will give our visitors an inspiring, instructive and sociable day.
Job tasks and duties
You will join our enthusiastic group of volunteer tour guides and take visitors on a fascinating walk through our gardens. You will not be alone. There is a lot of knowledge within the group and we like to share it with new tour guides. During our guide meetings, we dive into the garden together to see what is growing and flowering at that moment. You can join an experienced tour guide for a few times before you get to work yourself.
Job skills and qualities
- You can communicate stories enthusiastically and persuasively.
- Able to grasp information about the Hortus quickly.
- You are able to understand the experiences and the possibilities and impossibilities of the different target groups.
