Job tasks and duties
We are looking for an autism volunteer to lead the management team and become ultimately responsible for recruiting and supporting our volunteers.
Since recently, we have been working with three managers at Autism Digital. These are volunteer positions where you are ultimately responsible for one of the three sectors of our organisation. As an employee manager, you will be ultimately responsible for the employee sector. You will have a managerial role with a lot of responsibility, but within an organisation that is geared to autistic characteristics and taxability.
You will lead the management team on a weekly basis. Within the management team, you are the point of contact for the board. You ensure that the managers work well together and coordinate with each other. To this end, you have meetings with the other managers every fortnight and you chair these (approx. one hour).
Yearly, you provide the board with input for the evaluation of the volunteer policy.
You will chair monthly consultations with all nine coordinators (approx. one hour).
Incidentally, if a new manager is needed, you will do the interview and work the person in.
You are ultimately responsible for the entire path a volunteer takes with us: from the first introduction and induction, to evaluations and a possible farewell. You do not do these tasks yourself, but delegate them to other volunteers.
Yearly, together with the coordinators in your sector, you make an annual plan, look back on the activities and make reports for the sector staff.
You will monitor that volunteers' data is kept properly and securely, always according to the AVG rules.
Job skills and qualities
You belong to our target group : you have autism and are 18+.
You have experience in leading a (small) team. In doing so, you can bring out the best in your employees.
- You can keep an overview of the tasks you perform yourself and those you delegate.
- You can communicate well verbally and in writing, taking into account the needs of various volunteers with autism.
- You can translate from executive to management level and vice versa.
- Since this is a managerial position, we require a commitment of at least 1.5 years.

- You will be well trained using a written induction document.
- You can do this volunteer work from home, from anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All contact is via e-mail, WhatsApp and Teams.
